Pathways
Established in 1990, MFW has provided specialised training programs in presentation and communication skills to a variety of business
Maura Fay Workshops work at creating pathways of learning for a holistic approach to professional development. In practical terms it ensures that learning is relevant and layered in a way that is aligned to the growth of a company, particular career paths within the organisation and the personal growth of the individual employee.

Many organisations already have in place frameworks through which employees can navigate their professional development. MFW aim to work alongside the networks that are already in place. Therefore any strategic planning in training would be in accordance with this framework. If such framework are not in place, Maura Fay Workshops can instigate and design a strategic plan.
MFW instigates strategic plans for training and pathways of learning by definition worked on in the consultative relationship with the client. |
A training pathway for an organisation:
Case Study
Staff receive core competencies in effective communication. The key is introducing an organisation or business division to a common language across the board through which they can effectively communicate with each other, give feedback and distinguish communication strategies for dealing with clients.
These core competencies are delivered in different ways according to each group's place within the organisation.
MFW revisit the skills introduced in this program by looking at how they have been applied by participants in the workplace and realigning them with the internal development and strategy.
Finally participants move through to the communication area that is most relevant to their role within the organisation using a common language through which they can then effectively communicate with everyone within the organisation.
Case Study
A leading information technology company identified that their sales team needed professional development in managing relationships with suppliers and distributors.
The key objectives were to develop meeting skills to elicit accurate and meaningful information in client meetings, and then to polish existing skills for presentations given at industry forums and conventions. The sales staff in consultation with MFW and sales managers then identified further areas for continuous improvement.
The following Pathway of Learning was developed specifically for this team and was delivered over an eighteen month period:
